Two local “EGG-centric” organizations – Over Easy and Hickman’s Family Farms — are once again teaming up to help raise funds and eggs for United Food Bank. Last year the promotion raised $11,512 and 5,756 dozen eggs! This year’s goal is $20,000 and 10,000 dozen eggs!
United Food Bank has provided hunger relief to people in the East Valley and eastern Arizona since 1983. As a Feeding America member food bank, United Food Bank collects, acquires, stores, and distributes food to 150 partner agencies and programs in five counties.
Throughout the month of April, whenever you dine at one of the 11 Over Easy Arizona restaurant locations, you’ll see a prompt when paying your bill asking if you would like to make a donation to United Food Bank. When a patron makes a donation, Over Easy will match it DOLLAR for DOLLAR! So, whether you are craving Banana French Toast and Bloody Marys with friends or a Protein Waffle before the gym, you’ll be helping United Food Bank.
Plus, for each donation, Hickman’s Family Farms will deliver one dozen eggs to United Food Bank. So, for example, if a patron donates a dollar, United Food Bank will receive $2 and a dozen eggs! For 78 years, Hickman’s Family Farms has been supplying fresh, safe, affordable, and responsibly produced fresh eggs and related products.
All eleven Over Easy Arizona locations are taking part. For a location near you visit eatatovereasy.com.
“We so value our partnership with Over Easy and Hickman’s Family Farms,” stated United Food Bank CEO Dave Richins. “Their commitment is so important to helping us feed people throughout our service area of the East Valley and Eastern Arizona.”
